REVIEW- Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Colors

I've you've been around my blog long enough you'll know my love affair with lipstick. My collection keeps growing and I am always on the hunt to try out new products. Lately, the craze seems to be liquid lipsticks and any time I can get my hands on some new ones I just have to give them a try. It took me a little while to get my hands on all the shades but I finally did and I've been testing these out for the past month.

Hard Candy is a very affordae brand exclusively available at Walmart. Their range keeps growing, which I am super excited about because I am a big Hard Candy fan. So when they came out with their version of a liquid lipstick I got very excited. The formula dries matte but as the name suggests it does have a nice mousy texture when applied. Like other liquid lipsticks, it's meant to be long wearing.

First off, lets talk packaging. Each individual lipstick comes in its own metallic case that has a really pretty floral design. Great for tossing in your purse when you're on the go. The actual packaging of the lipstick is really sleek, with a nice clear tube which makes it easy to see the color of the product. The applicator has the typical doe foot shape which makes application very easy. The color range offers a nude along with some playful bright shades and two darkers more vampy shades. I think the shades are very wearable and there are a lot of great colors for the spring and summer months.

Let's talk formula. As stated, the formula is meant to be moussy which I really like because unlike some other liquid lipticks it feels nice and lightweight on the lips, not drying at all. It does turn into a matte type finish when applied but I will say that it doesn't fully dry, so jst be careful of transfer. Despite that, I really love these liquid lipsticks. They feel great on the lips, don't emphasize any fine lines and are very lightweight. And ok the colors are so beautiful! The pigmentation is spot on and absolutely gorgeous. (side note- the two darker shades are a tad more drying on the lips)

All in all, I love these lipsticks. I highly recommend you check these out if you're a lipstick lover like myself. And if you find normal liquid lipsticks too drying you might prefer these due to the mousse texture. Love these lippies!
