Flower Beauty Review

So I was excited when I found this new makeup line at my local Walmart. Yes, Flower Beauty finally has come to Canada! So of course I had to try some stuff and let you guys know my thoughts. First a little about the line- it was created by Drew Barrymore and is made in the US. It offers high quality makeup for an affordable price and it's mostly able to do that because they don't pay for advertising. She promotes the brand herself which I think it really cool and refreshing. The line really focuses on natural beauty and enhancing your features rather than caking on heavy makeup. And of course it's cruelty free! I think the philosophy behind this brand is really great so I've been anxiously waiting to try some stuff out.

The line offers a full range of products but I will say that so far, atleast here in Canada, not all products are available so ordering online might be an option for you.

So now on to the products I have tried and my thoughts.

Holiday Sets

Eye See You eye beauty set

(comes with shadow play eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush & Extreme Measures lengthening mascara)

This set comes with 8 eyeshadows that have a slight shimmer to them and are pretty pigmented. I think it's  a really nice neutral palette that you can get a lot of use out of. Also, I have to say that the packaging is gorgeous and looks high end. So big points on the packaging!

This is the only brush I have trued from the line but all I have to say is I want more! The bristles are super soft, application is easy and once again the look of the brushes are absolutely gorgeous. It's a beautiful black handle with rose gold detailing.


Finally, the mascara. What can I say. It is perfection. The formula doesn't clump and it really seperates and elongates the lashes. Great for an every day mascara.

This set comes with a palette that has 4 shadows and 4  matte lip colors. I bought the two sets that were offered, one is a more neutral palette and the other one has more smoky darker colors. These shows were pretty pigmented as well, especially the smoky colors. I do have to say that I am not crazy about the lip colors. I find them drying on my lips.

 

Once again I am in love with the mascara. This one gives me mega volume, perfect for a night look. Love!

Nail Polish holiday set

The colors are really nice and the regular collection does offer a wide range of nail polish colors to choose from. Once again, super impressed with the packaging and it goes on very nicely on the nails. I would apply a top coat to make the color last longer but all in all great nail polishes.

On Your Mark liquid eyeliner

This eyeliner comes in a few shades and I really love how fine the applicator tip is. I will say that it looks beautiful swatched but does tend to smudge quite easily.



Double Take 2 in 1 eye marker & crème eyeshadow

This is a double ended product that includes a liquid eyeliner marker and a crème eyeshadow on the other end. I really wanted to love this product but I have to say it was a bit of a fail. The eyeliner does tend to smudge and I find the eyeshadow isn't very pigmented. I think it would work better as a base or a highlighter.


Sheer Up lip tint

This is like any other chubby lip tint that other brands have. I have to say it's very moisturizing and gives your lips a nice subtle pop of color.


Kiss Stick velvet lip color & high shine lip color

 

 

Again beautiful packaging with the rose gold detailing. Formula wise this lipstick is very moisturizing and has really nice pigmentation. I think these lipsticks are great for people who want more neutral, natural type colors and they really leave your lips feeling nice and smooth.
