FIRST IMPRESSION- Hard Candy Sheer Envy concealers
FIRST IMPRESSION- Hard Candy Sheer Envy conceal & correct palette and the eye brightening concealer
In today's blog post I'll be reviewing two new products from Hard Candy in their concealer line. They recently came out with some new concealers in their Sheer Envy line, one being a concealer palette and the other being a concealer pen. I was super excited to try both these products seeing as I am already madly in love with their Glamoflauge concealer. Incidentally it is my holy grail concealer that I cannot live without so I wanted to know if these were just as good. And Hard Candy is a great affordable drugstore brand that has a great line of products (note- Hard Candy is exclusively sold at Walmart)
Now on to the reviews...
First off, I'll be talking about the Sheer Envy conceal & correct palette
I was very happy to have found this because a lot of brands have come out with concealer palettes but a little hard to find one that isn't too expensive. The advantage of a concealer palette is that everything you need is in one convenient package for all your needs, from correcting dark circles to covering blemishes. This palette comes with 3 color correcting concealers and 3 regular concealers that are meant to mix and match so you get your desired shade.
Here are the three color correcting concealers
includes:
- yellow which corrects dark circles and blue undertones
- green which reduces redness
- purple which brightens and neutralizes yellow undertones

I have to say that I am super impressed with this entire palette. The concealers are nice and creamy, provide nice coverage without being cakey or emphasizing fine lines. They blend very well and last throughout the day. To make my concealer really set I always use a few dots of Hard Candy's Glamoflauge concealer , which I blend in with my fingers, and then set it with a powder. This has become my regular concealer routine and I think it works great. I would highly recommend this palette if you like creamy concealers and if you want nice full coverage.
Next in this same line is the Sheer Envy eye brightening concealer
This concealer comes in a silver tube and has a brush tip which makes it very easy to apply. The bottom twists so the product gets distributed onto the brush tip. Packaging wise I find the twist tube to be very convenient and allows for less mess and easy application.
Close up of the tip/applicator:
The packaging states that this concealer offers 10 benefits which are as follows:
-reduces puffiness
- diffuses shadows
- softens wrinkles
- evens skintone
- eliminates dark circles
- blurs lines
- brightens
- conceals
- corrects
- lifts
Honestly, this is a lot of claims for one concealer. I will say that because the formula is more sheer and the consistency is more on the liquid side, it does provide a nice illuminating effect. However, coverage wise I find it doesn't quite do the job as well as the concealers in the palette. it didn't quite cover all of my blue undertones under my eyes. I would recommend using this more to cover blemishes and smaller areas as opposed to an under eye concealer. So all in all, not a bad product but it doesn't really do all the things it claims to do.
