First Impression- Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint

FIRST IMPRESSION- Tarte's Tarteist creamy matte lip paint liquid lipstick

Tarte is one of my favorite higher end makeup brands because I love that their products are free of harmful chemicals, they aren't highly expensive, and they are all about highlighting your natural beauty. So whenever they come out with new products I get really excited, even more so when it comes to lip products.

Liquid lipsticks are all the rage and I've tried a few but I am always up for trying more so I can compare formulas. These are new products from Tarte, part of their Tarteist line, are a quick drying liquid to matte lipstick. Like all other Tarte products they are free of harsh chemicals as well as gluten free. Also, all of the shades available for these liquid lipsticks are vegan. They retail for $24 CA and the line comes with 13 shades.

I only bought one shade, to test out the formula but I did try it out a few times  to really get an overall impression. First off, the formula itself is quite different than other liquid lipsticks I have tried. It's a thicker, mousy txture but it ends up going on very lightweight on the lips which was a surprise to me. It also dries pretty much right away so that helps with reducing any smudging and transfer.  I will also say that it's very long wearing and will last even after drinking and a meal.

Overall, I think this is a great liquid lipstick. It feels very lightweight on the lips and applies very evenly even with just one coat. Another plus, is that as with other|Tarte products, they color selection offers vibrant options but very wearable as well. If you're into bolder, more daring colors I would suggest the Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipsticks. But I think these will appeal to a lot of people and they definitely offer a great formula and well worth the money. I'll definitely be purchasing more!
