REVIEW- Essence Color Correcting Concealers

Color Correcting seems to be all the rage now and pretty much every makeup brand has come up with their versions; whether they're concealer sticks or palettes. I've seen them all over Sephora but you know me, if I can find the drugstore version you bet that I'll try it!

First off, I have to say that I think Essence as a brand is over looked a lot. Maybe it's because it's so cheap so people think that reflects in the quality. I know for me, I used to over look it because it's branded more as a teen/pre teen brand. Well get that idea out of your head right now! Essence has a lot of great products, some are even my holy grails, and the price point is ridiculously cheap. I highly recommend that you try their products. Plus, it won't break the bank!

Now on to the concealers. I am a concealer junkie. My main focus is concealing my under eye circles. As a busy mom I need my concealer! So I am always trying as many drugstore brands as I can. Like I said, color correcting is all the rage now so Essence has come up with their own version- three color correcting concealer sticks. First off, having it in a convenient stick makes application very easy.

These concealers come in three shades for three different uses:

Say No To Redness
10 pastel green

This helps to minimize any red areas you have

Say No To Imperfections
20 natural beige

This is used to cover any imperfections you may have, much like a typical concealer

Say No To Dark Circles
30 bright rose

This conceals dark circles under the eyes

I have to say, I love these. \The formula is super creamy and very easy to blend (I use a beauty blender but you can use a concealer brush or just your fingers).  A little goes a long way so eventhough the concealer sticks might look small I'm sure that they'll last quite a while. They feel really lightweight on the skin, not cakey at all, which can be a common problem with some concealers. Plus, they're so affordable. Under $4! You can't beat that.

The only downside that I should point out is that these were the only shades that |I found so if you're fair to medium skin toned they'll work great but not suitable for darker skin tones.
