REVIEW- NYX CC Cream Color Correcting

Review- NYX CC Cream Color Correcting

To me, one of the main summer makeup trends always starts with bright and luminous skin. I have normal to dry skin (it gets very dry in the colder months) so I am always looking for products that make my skin look less dull. Color correcting has been all the rage lately and I always want to try products that claim to brighten my skin. So when I got my hands on this product from NYX I had to try it out. NYX has some really great products and they're pretty affordable, which is always a plus in my books.

I picked up the lavender shade (CCCR 03 Lavender) which of course brightens. This product also contains antioxidants as well as skin conditioning ingredients. It is also infused with vitamins E and B5. The product looks lavender when it first comes out of the tube but it then transforms into a sheer, nude foundation. Now, first off they claim it's a foundation. No. This is way too sheer for my liking but I use it as a base to just make my skin look less dull. It does lay nicely on your skin, even if you have dry patches like myself.

In all honesty, do I notice a big difference in my skin when I use this? Not really. But it does slightly brighten my skin so it's not a bad product but I'm not in love with it. Would I repurchase this? Hmm possibly but it's not something that is a must have in my makeup routine. But hey, give it a try and see for yourself!

They do offer a green shade (to neutralize redness) and a peach shade (evens discoloration) and all three come in either a light/medium shade or the medium/deep shade. This product retails for $16.00 (CA)
