Hot or Not?- Hard Candy Illuminate & Strobing Mix-In Drops

Hot or Not? #1

Hard Candy Look Pro! Illuminating & Strobing Mix-In Drops

This is a new series that I'll be starting where I try products that are different than what I normally use or are trendy/gimmicky type products. Testing them out, as I always do, and letting you now if I think they're worth the hype.

For my first Hot or Not, I decided to pick up these illuminating drops by Hard Candy. The dewy look is all the rage now and I think it's something that a lot of us go for to make our skin look super vibrant and healthy. As someone with dry skin, I especially want to prevent dullness so a dewy complexion really helps combat that. I find it pretty hard to find a dewy drugstore foundation so when I came across these drops I thought they'd be perfect to mix with my favorite foundations.

As I said, you can mix in these drops into your regular foundation or tinted moisturizer or you can use them alone as a highlight. They are meant to create a radiant dewy finish and retail for $8.00(CA).

At first glance, the formula does seem pretty thin but if you shake the bottle it mixes the product better. It comes with a nice dropper, which makes it easy to mix in with your other products. I normally add two drops with my foundation then blend it together and apply as I normally would. I normally apply foundation with  a beauty sponge but I did try using a brush as well to test out both methods. I personally feel that a sponge works best and provides the best dewy effect to the skin.

So do I think this product is worth giving it a go?

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this product and how it's now become a part of my every day foundation routine. It adds a really nice dewy, glowy finish to your skin while still being subtle and not over the top. It just makes your skin look super healthy, which hey don't we all want that ladies. To top it all off, it's very affordable and can be purchased easily at any Walmart.

If you love having glowy, healthy looking skin or if you have dry skin like me I highly recommend you try these. They have become one of my new favorites!
