Does it Pass the Test?-- Testing out the Real Techniques brush cleansing palette
Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette & Brush Cleansing Gel
I've been intrigued by cleansing mitts ever since seeing the Sigma brush cleansing mitt on Instagram. I've been searching for a while so a cheaper alternative and was very excited when I stumbled upon this at my local Walmart.
This it comes with the brush cleansing palette as well as two sample sizes of the brush cleansing gel. The palette is multi textured which allows for a deep cleaning of the bristles and it's a nice size that fits easily in your hand. The cleansing gel removes makeup, oil and impurities and does not contain alcohol or phthalates. You can either purchase this it or both products separately.
The palette retails for $15 and the cleansing gel retails for $9
The palette is super easy to use. First off, you squeeze a dime size amount of the cleansing gel onto the palette. Then wet your brush with warm water and swirl it into the product across the various surfaces to get rid of makeup and any impurities on your brush. Then you just rinse off your brush and allow it to dry. I like laying out paper towels on y table and set the brushes down and allow them to completely dry overnight. Easy!
I am super impressed with this system and I will be using this to clean my brushes from now on. It really deep cleans them without ruining the bristles and is so easy to use. I just love it! I highly highly recommend using this system. An A++
Here is what it looks like in use:
I just wanted to show you the difference between how clean the brush gets with my old method vs using the cleansing gel. Night and day!
using baby shampoo/soap
using the cleansing gel
