It's that time of year again! Yes the holidays.  Family obligations, rushing around shopping and cooking, trying to keep my son busy....oh and all the great holiday beauty kits of course hehe Not only do so many brands come out with holiday gift sets but they are a great way to try out some products for yourself and get a great deal. And of course they make great gifts for any beauty lover on your list.


ELF has so many holiday gift sets out ranging from cute stocking stuffers to bigger kits and all, of course, super affordable. These three kits caught my eye but there are so many out there so if these interest you then go check out the others at your local retailer. I chose these three based off of what caught my eye and what I enjoy but they have some great eyeshadow palettes as well as a brush set, which always makes for a great gift.

So here are the kits I tried and I think make great affordable gift ideas.

This kit stood out to me right away because my lips get so chapped and dry during the winter and I know I'm not the only one who suffers with this problem. For this reason I think it makes for a really cute gift, even for people on your list who don't wear too much makeup. Everyone appreciates a good lip balm! These lip balms add a subtle hint of color and shine so they are a little more special then a standard lip balm. Bonus, they smell like peppermint. Yum!

Ok it's me and if you've been around my blog for any amount of time you know my love affair with lip products so naturally I had to buy this gift set. This kit comes with four matte lip crayons, which I have tried before and they are really great. They are great for people that may not like wearing lipstick either because they find it hard to apply or find it drying. These lip crayons are matte but are still very moisturizing and feel really creamy and rich on the lips. They are fairly long wearing and easy to reapply. The beauty of this kit too is that it comes with a nice range of colors from a more neutral shade to a red, to great berry shades, perfect for the holidays.

Glowing Star blush & bronzer set

I don't know about you but when I think of holiday makeup glowy skin is on my list. So to me, this little gift set is great and gives you two products in a convenient little package. And bonus, you get a cute little kabuki brush with it. The blush in this little compact is nice and glowy without looking shimmery so it is very natural,  very flattering. The bronzer has that same natural shimmer to it as well. Very pretty little kit. Great for a stocking stuffer.
