The Best of Drugstore....Nude Lips!!
All About Nude Lips!
With this being said, I thought I'd start a new series where I break down my top drugstore picks to make your shopping trips a little easier. And mama loves her lippies so I had to start there! When it comes to lip color there are so many options out there. From a more natural look, to a sexy bold, night out on the town look. As much as I am a fan of a bold lip, let's be real here. I'm a single mom. Most of my days are filled with homework and grocery shopping. So more often then not you will find me wearing a very natural nude lip. And I personally feel that a great nude lip should be a staple in any woman's makeup arsenal. So why not start there!
I went through my makeup collection and came up with my top, most loved nude lip products that I personally cannot live without. And they are all under $10!
Essence Matt Matt Matt lipstick
(01) Natural Kiss
$3.99
This lipstick permanently lives in my purse because I cannot live without it. It's a matt formula but super creamy and not drying on the lips whatsoever. This whole line is amazing so I recommend you run to the drugstore and try out these beauties. Such amazing quality for such a low price.
Milani Color Statement lipstick
(26) Nude Crème
$6.00
This formula has to be one of my top favorites in all of my collection. Super creamy but also long wearing and they smell like fruit! Another perfect nude even for those no makeup makeup days.
Milani Color Statement lipstick
(61) Matte Naked
$6.00
Basically the same creamy formula as the previous lipstick only this is Milani's matte formula. Super comfortable and moisturizing. This shade is a more mauvy nude which I love when I want a hint of color but nothing too crazy.
Wet n Wild MegaLast lipstick
(912C) In The Flesh
$2.49
These lipsticks go way back with me. They are the first lipsticks that I fell in love with and started collecting. Super affordable, amazing color payoff. The only downside is that the formula is quite drying so make sure to really exfoliate your lips first. I personally don't mind because it still applies very nicely and evenly. I just avoid wearing these in the dead of winter when my lips are dry as hell. But still well worth checking out and this color is a stunning darker nude that I think would suit many skin tones. Definitely an OG favorite!
ELF matte lip crayon
(82463) Tea Rose
$3.00
Lip crayons are a great alternative for a lipstick because they are fool proof. Applies quickly and then you're out the door! This one by ELF is super creamy and well just pure perfection.
ELF liquid matte lipstick
Tea Rose
$5.00
Yes this is the same shade as the lip crayon only in a liquid lipstick but I had to mention this one because this formula is so bang on. Dries super fast but feels so lightweight on the lips. I recently got my hands on this baby and I cannot say enough great things about it. ELF you knocked it out of the park! Run, don't walk to pick up this shade (hell, while you're at it go buy all of them!)
Essence lip liner
(06) Satin Mauve
$1.99
I normally don't wear lip liner on its own but this formula is so creamy that it really can be worn all on its own. And it's less than $2.00!
NYX Lip Lingerie liquid lipstick
(LIPLI08) Bedtime Flirt
$7.00
Really nice liquid lipstick formula but heads up that it is pretty drying in case that bugs you. But this whole range is all nudes so you can definitely find a shade that works for your skin tone. This one is my personal favorite, again in that mauvy nude range.
NYX Butter Gloss
(BLG07) Tiramisu
$5.00
I'm not a huge lip gloss fan because I find most formulas are way too tacky but this is one of the best formulas out there. Glossy with just the right amount of pigment. A real staple!
